Routes into Languages

On Wednesday 20 April, Amelia Bromell and Sophie Taylor (both in 7Sherborne) represented the school at the regional final of The Routes into Languages Spelling Bee competition, held at Brighton University. They faced a daunting task, spelling as many French words as possible, in French, in front of a large audience; but this did not stop either girl from putting in a magnificent performance.  We are particularly delighted to report that Sophie won first prize for French, and will represent the southern region in the national final later this term.
